Eating Disorders
While there’s several types of eating disorders, including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia, and Binge Eating Disorder, each disorder is typified by an unhealthy relationship with eating, body weight, and appearance. An eating disorder is a glaring signal that there’s an underlying psychological issue with the person experiencing the disorder.
At the root of an eating disorder is a desire to maintain control, although some eating disorders suggest a lack of control. Often, those suffering from an eating disorder are also dealing with other debilitating psychological problems, such as anxiety, depression, and poor self-esteem.
